Red, White & Blue Ice Cream Treats

By Heather Wirtz June 16, 2015
Sometimes I feel like being super creative, sometimes I just want to find the simplest way possible to make fun treats... these festive ideas fit into the latter category and your kiddos can easily help!

Dipped Ice Cream Cones - Enjoy with ice cream or use as an edible "bowl" for cut up fruit!

You will need:
Wafer cones
White melting chocolate, we used CANDIQUIK
Colored sugar or small candies

Directions:
  1. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
  2. Melt chocolate according to package directions. If the chocolate starts to harden, reheat it in 15 second intervals.
  3. Once melted, dip the top part of the cone into the chocolate and let the excess drip off. Sprinkle with sugar/candy and place on parchment paper. Repeat process for each cone.
  4. Set cones aside and let chocolate harden. Once the chocolate is set, the cones will easily peel off of the parchment paper. These are best used the same day, cones will get stale quickly.

Sprinkled Ice Cream Sandwiches
