Overnight Oatmeal

Breakfast will be ready before you!

Have a hard time getting out the door in the morning?  Save some time by making breakfast the night before. 

1 cup uncooked steel-cut oats
1 apple, peeled and  diced 
1 cup dried cranberries or raisins
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups water 
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt

1. Coat inside of slow cooker with cooking spray.  
2. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker.  
3. Stir ingredients, cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours.
4. Serve hot with your choice of additional ingredients, for example: chopped nuts, milk, honey. maple syrup, fruit
