You will need:
4 apples, we used Gala
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
2 tbsp butter
cinnamon
Tools:
Apple peeler
Small scoop, spoon or apple corer
Baking dish
Directions:
- Combine brown sugar and vanilla in a small bowl and stir until combined. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Peel skin around the top of each apple and then core or scoop out the seeds without puncturing the bottom. Place apples in a baking dish.
- Fill each apple with the brown sugar mixture and top with butter.
- Fill pan with enough water to just cover the bottom and cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes or until apples are fork tender.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Serve warm with dinner or as dessert!
