Gluten free, I will admit, this is not something that I normally look for in baked goods. The one or two bites of any gluten free baked good I've tried where not all that good (in my opinion)... so, with that, I was a little hesitant to try the gluten free blondies and cookies that were sent for me to sample.
Allie's Gluten Free Goodies sent a package of Chocolate Chunk Cookies and a package of Blondies. In my house, we are not gluten free, but we are peanut and tree nut free, which makes reading the label on everything that enters our home first priority. I was surprised and happy to see that these products were labeled nut free, that made me immediately check out their website. All baked goods from Allie's are gluten AND peanut/tree nut free, now that you do not see often! You can also order all baked goods "regular" (gluten and nut free), "dairy free", "egg free" or "vegan" - for people that deal with multiple food allergies, that is a BIG DEAL!
Once I discovered the cookies and blondies were safe for my kiddos too, we had a little sampling party. The Blondies were a hit with everyone! They came individually wrapped and are filled with butterscotch chips and chocolate. The blondies were super moist and I have to say, I could not tell they were gluten free. An added bonus, this is something my nut-allergic 7 year old could normally never eat - he was thrilled! The Chocolate Chunk Cookies were also good. They came in a plastic container and held up well being shipped. The cookies were filled with chocolate chunks, which is always a good thing!
Allie's has everything from muffins and cakes, to Challah bread and croutons! If you are gluten free, allergic to certain foods or have a loved one who is, I highly recommend giving Allie's Gluten Free Goodies a try!
