Mini Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

By Heather Wirtz April 19, 2016
Who doesn't love grilled cheese? I sure do! This very simple "recipe" brings the traditional grilled cheese to a new level of fun! Make mini grilled cheese sandwiches for a tea party, picnic or playdate, I bet all of your little guests will be super impressed! You can also add additional ingredients for a grown up crowd - bacon, tomato, spinach, mushrooms... the list is endless!

Ingredients:
Sandwich bread
Cheese
Butter

Directions:
  1. Heat pan over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place bread butter side down in pan and add cheese.
  3. Top cheese with a second slice of bread, butter side up.
  4. Cook until lightly browned and flip over.
  5. Continue cooking until both sides are lightly browned and cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from pan, let cool for a minute and then slice into mini, bite-sized pieces.
Please note: some of your little guests may prefer the crust cut off before slicing into mini, bite-sized pieces, this also helps them look a bit neater.
