Flourless chocolate cake is one of my favorite desserts, but a bit time consuming to make... this recipe is similar, but quick and simple.
These cookies have a rich chocolate flavor and a chewy, slightly crunchy texture, sure to be a chocolate lover's favorite!
This can also be a great gluten free dessert, just be sure to double check all ingredients for gluten if baking for someone with a sensitivity.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup cocoa powder
3 large egg whites
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
parchment paper
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350. Line baking sheet with parchment and lightly spray paper.
- Mix together powdered sugar, salt, and cocoa powder.
- Add eggs whites and vanilla to the dry mixture. Mix all of the ingredients till smooth.
- Add chocolate chips and mix until combined.
- Drop by the tablespoonful onto prepared parchment paper.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes. They will become shiny and tops will start to crack when ready.
- Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before removing.
