Chewy Flourless Double Chocolate Cookies

By Heather Wirtz December 20, 2016
Love chocolate? This cookie recipe is for you and would be a great addition to a holiday cookie tray!

Flourless chocolate cake is one of my favorite desserts, but a bit time consuming to make... this recipe is similar, but quick and simple.

These cookies have a rich chocolate flavor and a chewy, slightly crunchy texture, sure to be a chocolate lover's favorite!

This can also be a great gluten free dessert, just be sure to double check all ingredients for gluten if baking for someone with a sensitivity.

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup cocoa powder
3 large egg whites
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
parchment paper

Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Line baking sheet with parchment and lightly spray paper.
  2. Mix together powdered sugar, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. Add eggs whites and vanilla to the dry mixture. Mix all of the ingredients till smooth.
  4. Add chocolate chips and mix until combined.
  5. Drop by the tablespoonful onto prepared parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 9-10 minutes. They will become shiny and tops will start to crack when ready.
  7. Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before removing.
