Fruited Water

By Heather Wirtz July 18, 2017

Water... the beverage of choice for some and the last thing others want to drink. I have two boys who love water and one that will not even consider drinking it in its natural form. In an effort to try to get my oldest to enjoy water, we created this Fruit Water together. After this little experiment, he drank BOTH containers and continued to refill them. My other two boys enjoyed it too. I call this an overall WIN!

This "recipe" is super simple and you can add any variety of fruits, veggies and fresh herbs - such as mint.

The first Fruit Water we created was simply sliced oranges and we topped that with water. Once finished, stir the oranges and water then let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. Once the orange flavor is infused into the water, enjoy over ice.

The second Fruit Water we created was a mixture of sliced limes, sliced cucumber and fresh mint. We sliced two limes, half of an English cucumber and used a handful of fresh mint leaves then topped with water. Let mixture sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. Once the lime, cucumber and mint flavors are infused into the water, enjoy over ice.
