Getting back into a school routine can be difficult and even more so if everyone is rushing around between school, work and other activities. Add in homework and making dinner... some relaxing family time becomes nearly impossible. I love to cook and most meals in our house are made from scratch... but there are times it is just too busy to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and that is where Three Bridges comes in!
We were given the chance to sample a few of the Three Bridges products - Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lobster Ravioli and their Creamy Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese Kit. At first glance most would think the ravioli would be an adult favorite and the mac & cheese for the kids... but they were all REALLY tasty!
For the ravioli, we simply boiled them as stated on the package and served them with a little melted butter and topped them with salt and pepper - we didn't want to mask the flavor with any strong sauces the first time trying them. I still cannot decide which I liked better... if I absolutely had to choose... I think I would go with the Butternut Squash Ravioli - only if I HAD to choose.
There are all kinds of mac & cheese out there... the powdered mix and liquid cheese that you add to boiled macaroni. There are microwave varieties and even some that come frozen. This is the first time that I tried a fresh refrigerated kind with pasta that comes already cooked. For the Three Bridges Creamy Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese Kit you simply boil milk as stated on the package, and then add the cheese and macaroni. Within minutes you have a super creamy and super tasty dish - no microwave or colander required! You can also add your choice of meat and/or veggies to make this an even more complete meal.
