Fruit Kabobs with Chocolate

By Heather Wirtz January 16, 2018
A perfect fancy snack or Valentine's Day treat! These kabobs can be made with any variety of your favorite fruit and chocolate. Older children can make these on their own and little ones will love helping build them with an adult. If you don't have any wooden skewers, you can make individual servings in cupcake liners as pictured below.

Ingredients:
Strawberries, sliced in half
Blueberries
Bananas, sliced
1/2 cup chocolate chips or melting chocolate
Wooden skewers
Parchment paper

Directions:
1. Hold wooden skewer in one hand and carefully place fruit into skewer using the pointed end. Continue skewering fruit until it is 3/4 the way full. Set aside and repeat until you have the desired amount of kabobs.
2. Place all fruit kabobs onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
3. Put 1/2 cup chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave on 50% power until melted - stir every 30-60 seconds.
4. With a spoon, carefully drizzle chocolate over fruit kabobs.
5. Place kabobs into refrigerator until chocolate is set.
6. Serve immediately.
