5 Ingredient Dish: 5 Minute Candy Cane Fudge

By Eric Cohen December 18, 2018

Each month we share a meal made with 5 ingredients or less to help you spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your family!

This month, we created Candy Cane Fudge with just five ingredients! Easy to make and have on hand for unexpected guests, give as a gift, leave for Santa, or enjoy as a special treat for you and your family.

Candy Cane Fudge

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cool time: 60 minutes or until firm

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes for topping

Directions:

  • Combine the chocolate, condensed milk, and butter in a glass bowl and heat in the microwave for 60 seconds.
  • Take out and stir to combine. If needed, heat another 15 seconds.
  • Stir in the mint extract until combined.
  • Spread evenly into a pan lined with parchment paper. A loaf pan or square brownie pan would work great.
  • Top with crushed candy canes. Chill until firm. Carefully remove and slice into squares.

We hope you enjoy this quick and easy holiday treat!

Other options: Swap out the mint extract and use vanilla and then pick another topping and mix it up!  Here are some other ideas to top or mix in before chilling your fudge: Sea salt, peanuts, walnuts, pistachios, marshmallows, pretzels, m&m’s, rice cereal, and mini peanut butter cups.
