I'm going to be honest, when I was asked to host a get-together to show how quick and easy weeknight dinners can be using Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork Loin Filet, Tenderloin, or Pork Chops, my first reaction was to say no because I'm too busy. The school year just started, and I have not gotten into my groove yet. I still feel like it's summer, except instead of lazy evenings, we are running to football practices, meet the teacher nights and board meetings. My friends are in the same boat, which is why it was imperative that I share Smithfield products with them. In less than 30 minutes, we can have a delicious home-cooked meal, and that's something that all parents need to know!
Smithfield's website has a variety of recipes to choose from, so I selected 3 that sounded like ones my family would enjoy:
To me, what's great about these recipes is that they use ingredients I normally use when I am cooking and the instructions are easy to follow. Even better, Smithfield has a few recipes that use leftovers from a previous recipe, as was the case with the Pork Penne Pasta Salad. It used the leftovers from the Grilled Pork & Veggies with Lemon recipe. This is perfect in my house where my family gets tired of hearing that we're having leftovers. I'll just put a new spin on them and make them into a new dinner!
The recipes were not only a hit with my family but also with everyone who was at my son's birthday party. Parents and kids alike found the recipes to be tasty, and the parents were overjoyed to hear that the recipes are easy. When I started telling them about the different flavors of Smithfield's marinated pork, such as Slow Smoked Mesquite Flavor Pork Loin Filet and Applewood Smoked Bacon Topped Pork Loin Filet, they thought they sounded delicious and couldn't wait to buy them to cook them for their families, too.
