I recently had the opportunity to try Dinnerly, an innovative meal kit delivery service, created to make home delivery meal kits easy and affordable for families like mine. I’m telling you, Dinnerly has delivered on that promise. Dinnerly offers quick recipes for couples and families, with pre-measured ingredients, delivered right to your doorstep every week. Most meal kits I’ve looked into have fancy recipes with a ton of ingredients, at a high price. Dinnerly offers chef-designed recipes with high quality food, but with easy recipes, fewer ingredients, and a very attractive price point.
With Dinnerly, you can choose either a 2-Person box or the Family box, and each week there is a large selection of meal types to choose from. The recipes are great for picky eaters like my kiddo, and the portion sizes are husband approved! There are options for a ton of different diet plans and great options for veggie lovers, too.
Although Dinnerly is a subscription, it’s easy to skip weeks if you’re going to be out of town, or if the meals on the menu don’t suit your diet or preferences. The subscription is super flexible, allowing you to skip as many deliveries as you please, or easily cancel if you’re not happy for any reason.
So what does a Dinnerly meal look like start to finish? Here’s what our first experience looked like!
First, you receive an email letting you know your box is on the way. In that email, you’re provided the recipes for all of your upcoming meals.
Dinnerly sends digital recipe cards rather than printed to cut down on the cost of the service. I will gladly read my recipe online if it saves me money on my meals!
The food will then arrive on your scheduled date, dry ice packed in a big box. I don’t know about you, but having groceries delivered, pre-measured and pre-meal planned, to my front door is the best feeling in the world.
I stored all the Dinnerly ingredients in two nice little tubs, so the other hungry members of my family wouldn’t try to use my Dinnerly ingredients on other meals. It worked really well and kept me organized.
When I was ready to prep, I pulled out the ingredients on my recipe card and I was ready to cook!
There were three main things I loved the most about my Dinnerly box. The first was the ease of the recipes, and quick cook times. The second was that there were very few ingredients, and they were all pre-measured and ready to go. The third, and most important, is that my daughter could help me cook. Most nights she’s either underfoot or needs an activity during meal prep and cooking time. With Dinnerly, she was able to grab a stool and help me make the meals. It meant more mommy/daughter time, laughing, giggling, and just plain spending time together.
All Dinnerly meals take 30 minutes or less to cook. So from prep to the very last step, you will have dinner on the table in no time.

The things my husband loves about Dinnerly are the amazing taste, large portion sizes, and overall quality of the meal. I love that the meals are kid-friendly and easy for me to make!
