Why Families Love It
Kelsey Beaver put it simply: Parents can relax here while their kids have the time of their lives.

A parent favorite: The lazy river
One of Devon Sayre's favorite moments was watching a family with a kid about her daughter's age doing lap after lap on the lazy river, just shrieking with happiness. "I turned to my husband and said we are bringing her here," she said.
It Actually Works Across Ages
This isn't just a kids' resort. Publishers who would have toddlers, teens, and grandparents in tow all said the same thing: There's a lane for everyone.
- Toddlers: Kids' pool, a water park just for smaller kids, and kid-height buffet stations.
- Elementary kids and tweens: Explorer's Club, water park, arcade, and MasterChef Junior activities.
- Teens: Their own club, sports, and room to roam independently.
- Adults and grandparents: Preferred Club adults-only pool, spa, quieter lounges, and entertainment that isn't too juvenile or too grown-up.

"My daughter would be in heaven bouncing between the shallow pool areas, the water park, the Explorer's Club, and ordering virgin strawberry daiquiris," said Adam Wright. "Along with plenty of time at the beach building sandcastles and exploring the shoreline. ... That's what would make the trip so memorable for our family."

The taco truck earned a loyal following, but it was just the beginning. From lobster mac and cheese to unlimited ice cream, there's something here for every appetite.

- The taco truck — Macao Bites was a favorite, especially the pork taco with pineapple salsa.
- Coco Cafe, open 24 hours — A premium, full service coffee shop, plus unlimited ice cream around the clock. The ice cream alone "would blow my kids out of the water," said publisher Rachel Horlacher.
- Shrimp mac and cheese at Oceana, praised by Lisa Williams. The lobster version got its own shout-out from Veronica Leon.
- World Cafe's crepe station at breakfast. Yum.
- Banana Mama drinks, plus rotating daily mocktails for non-drinkers and kids.
Picky eaters, don't worry — Lisa Williams said her child would approve. "At every place we ate, I was able to find at least one thing my 9-year-old would eat," she said.
Staff That Make You Feel Cared For

From throwing a football on the beach with kids to remembering drink orders, the staff made the stay extra special.
Staff can make or break a resort, and the Dreams® Macao Beach Punta Cana staff made the trip effortless.

- Caring staff: Butlers like Miguel sent WhatsApp good-morning texts and dropped off coffee before guests were even up.
- Funny memories: A staff member named Jorge hunted down the biggest cucumber on property for a cucumber margarita for one of our moms — then yelled "Cucumber!" every time he spotted Brittany Joyner for the rest of the week. "It was so fun to have that inside joke and moment of connection," she said.
- Making every visitor feel special: Melissa Basgall's favorite detail was that staff remembered her group's drink orders after just a couple visits. It was a small gesture that made a big impact.
- Making kids feel at home: A few publishers noted they saw staff spontaneously playing catch and board games with kids so parents could catch a break. As parents know, it's the little things.
"It's those kind of thoughtful touches that separate a good resort from a great one," said Kristen Baker.
Making core memories as a family
"It was fun to just sit and watch other families — kids were laughing, parents were actually smiling instead of stressing, and everyone just seemed...present. I immediately pictured my own kids racing from one slide to another while I soaked up the sunshine knowing they were making core memories. That's exactly the kind of family vacation I'm always searching for," Kelsey Beaver said.
The MasterChef Junior Collab: Now Part of Explorer's Club

Publishers got a chance to spend time with Remy and Bryson from MasterChef Junior Season 9. The young chefs showcased the new cooking programming available at the resort in collaboration with the show.
The resort has a new, first-of-its-kind collaboration with the hit culinary cooking competition series MasterChef Junior, and as part of the kickoff, our 22 publishers got one-on-one time with MasterChef Junior Season 9 stars Bryson and Remy. So fun!
While Bryson and Remy won't be on hand all the time, this collaboration between Dreams® Resorts & Spas throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and MasterChef Junior is rolling into regular Explorer's Club programming, so future guests can expect it as a fun new perk while visiting.
Here were some of the highlights for our publishers:
- The Mystery Box Challenge — a live, timed cooking competition judged by Bryson and Remy that was special enough it was the near-unanimous favorite moment of the trip. Toni Hill said it made her feel like she was on the show. Sabrina Mosca's table ended in what she called "a disaster of sprinkles, banana peels, and other random goodies" ... but still delicious in the best way. And Brittany Joyner's top memory from the entire week? Watching Remy trick some of the publishers into thinking wasabi was matcha. 😂 Love the idea? The Mystery Box Challenge is going to continue as a fun Explorer's Club kid program. Kids are gonna love it.
- The Family Cooking Class — This is another one that our publishers said is a can't-miss opportunity for visiting families. Families can make Bryson's Street Corn Dip together ... and then enjoy it to the last bite! "I never wanted to stop eating it," Devon Sayre said.
- A special exclusive menu created by Master Chef Junior contestants, inspired by Bryson's Southern roots and Remy's commitment to reducing food waste. Dishes include Bryson's steak with creamy pepper sauce and potatoes gratin dauphinoise, and Remy's rainbow fruit sushi. Delish.
- A poolside gourmet pop-up with custom treat stations, like Remy's dessert nacho bar. Your kids will talk about this long after it's over!
Spending time with the young chefs:
Publishers said they loved spending time with Bryson and Remy, who were kind, funny, and genuinely into cooking. "I loved every part about the MasterChef Junior experience," Devon Sayre said. "It was so inspiring to see these young chefs at work."
So...Would We Go Back?

Impressive entertainment popped up in unexpected places throughout the resort.
Kristen Baker said it best: Sometimes the best investment isn't another thing. It's time together.
Melissa Basgall, who's been on plenty of press trips, didn't hedge: "Book this trip."
A few practical tips from the group:
- Splurge on Preferred Club if you can — adults-only pool, quieter family pool, and butler service.
- Toddler or picky eater in tow? The kids' buffet stations and gluten-free options have you covered.
- Book a swim-out suite or family villa near the water park — several parents said this was their "we need to come back" moment.
- Use the WhatsApp butler service for anything you need — towels, forgotten items, even tracking down tacos after the truck closed
The verdict? They went in expecting a nice beach vacation. They came home already checking flight prices.
