Spring is in full bloom in many parts of the country, which brings in a slew of family fun activities!
Snow has finally melted in the Midwest (where Char lives), paving the way for park picnics, and those of us in Southern California (like Erika!) are preparing for a summer of beach barbeques. Let the smell of grills being fired-up begin!
No matter where you live, Father's Day and Memorial Day are traditionally celebrated with BBQs. Memorial Day was also a traditional time for Erika's family to plan reunions. Her Nana would start preparing what she would bring months before! She and her sisters would chat on the phone (you know, the one with the long cord) for hours about what they were bringing. You may find Char and her family at a local diner on Memorial Day anonymously buying a veteran and their family breakfast and then enjoy a lazy day home with plans of hot dogs and burgers on the grill for dinner.
